Weather has been crazy all over the country this spring and Texas is no exception. Temperatures have been up and down and in turn, water temperatures have risen and fallen over and over again.
It warms up a little and then cools off a lot, which is what I call “Yo-Yo time” or “Yo-Yo weather”.
This has caused water temperatures to be much cooler than normal and it’s confused the heck out of the blue catfish (and all of the other fish).
I headed out for some springtime blue catfish hoping he fish were going to be on fire so we could whack em and stack em but I really knew it was going to be tough. We started out with a hot bite and caught some spring blue catfish in shallow water and put some fish in the boat and then things changed quickly and I was in a race against time with some massive storms coming.
